    Hi Jaap

I managed to export it fine in Compressor which got me around the problem at the time, but it’s just irritating me that the FCP export sometimes doesn’t work correctly. Nine times out of ten it’s fine – it just seems to take a dislike to certain clips (although the clips themselves that have had this problem are all imported/captured in different ways so it’s not like it’s a particular type of media that causes the issue). On one occasion I tried exporting just a small piece of the timeline where the glitch occured and it stopped on the same frame, leading me to believe perhaps it was a bad frame although I had no problem playing back in the timeline. When I removed one of the audio tracks the error disappeared and it exported the whole segment. So now I’m left wondering if it’s an audio glitch rather than a video one, but still can’t see why the export would just stop halfway through with no error messages if FCP had encountered something it couldn’t deal with. As you can see I’m a bit baffled by it (not to mention frustrated!)!

    Hi Jaap

No there were no in or out points in the sequence – I even tried moving the playhead to the end of the sequence on the off chance that would make a difference, but no luck!
