I do like Matrox a lot, I’ve used RT.X2 and I’m defiently a fan of it. Havent heard much about MX02, but i know the mini is quite affordable.

I wish i could afford the Quatro card (its about 4K, right?) i dont think the slight performance boost would be worth that much.

    As for CS5, defiently…

This tutorial might help you a bit

    https://maltaannon.com/articles/after-effects/shutter-streak/

That should add the streaks that you want. (or, something like it)

  • Thats a great Idea,

I’ve never worked with Raid drives before, does a Raid 0 have a tendancy to crash and loose data often? We are only working with
DV Footage, However, I experienced in Premeire Pro CS4 a lot of lag when editing off an external USB 2.0 drive (Which wasnt the case in CS3 while using) So I was wondering if editing off the network would merit any better results.

Actually, for the reason of going “Green” all thats shipped is the box with the cds, all the manuals are on-line and accessed through the help section of each program.

Sorta sucks, I miss those gigantic manuals.

October 23, 2008 at 3:02 pm in reply to: CS4 AVCHD Playback problems

I’m finding that Mini-DV tapes play fine with no choppiness, however the DVCam tapes that I use are the ones causing the problems.

I’m gonna try to capture the tape itself in CS4 (As opposed to CS3 then bringing it over) and see if that helps any bit…

    I’m having similar problems.

CS3 is on my same machiene and playing back the same exact clips realtime, CS4 is lagging and chopping (Program and source monitor). It’s acting a lot more like a downgrade than an upgrade.

I really wish i knew how to fix this.
