To apply the effects go to Animation-Apply Animation Preset. Then locate the specific preset your applying.

Did the project file I include work?

Oh, and if you try to view the clip at the moment it won’t work. I’m reuploading it with a more compressed file that should stream faster. It’ll be done in a few minutes.

I’ve made a few major changes. I got a helluvah lot of detail for the pen without using the find edges tool. It’s still not as crystal clear as a scanner darkly but I doubt I’ll be able it’s possible to pull that off. And silly me, I didn’t see the posterize effect which works a little better than using a curve setup like I had. Tomorrow I’ll hook some sliders up to things and see how much control I can get.

That’s from Mercedes Ray. It’s a film I’m helping a buddy on. Seeing a bunch of dead presidents do the electric slide is priceless.

I’m also thinking that if I change the footage from RGB to YUV or another format I may be able to adjust the paint feature to have finer detail with less noise. I’ve got a DV keying animation preset which converts it with great results. I’m thinking I could use the same concept here. Currently I use the temporal smoother in the grain removal plugin to slow the noise down considerably.

Thanks. I’m looking to completely revamp the pen aspect without the use of the find edges tool. It really kinda sucks and the strong edges are way to thick. I’ve got a few ideas knocking around in my noggin on how to pull more detail as well as keep the lines thinner that might work… in theory.

Well, the rotation is based on 360 degrees, scale and opacity is 100.

    100 divided by 360 is .27

Use that as your multiplier and you shouldn’t have any problems
