So what about the copyright, because the music they will be dancing too will be popular music that they will play off of cd’s?

Well, I have no control over venue, I just go and film wherever they are playing. So there is not much I can do about that. So what do you mean by close miking to mixer and then to camera. I dont quite understand. I do have a small behringer mixer and also a mackie 1402 mixer. What should I use and how? Also, what mics should I use and how many? Thanks

Okay I posted it in the live and stage events forum. I don’t know if people are understanding though, I don’t want a full 360 degree view. I basically want what the human eye can see. So probably 120 degree FOV, give or take. It is going to be 5 screens on the wall flat. The board that we have the cameras on now is only about 3.5-4 feet long and it looks just like the picture, we have the outside cameras angled out a little and the inner two angled out just slightly. Then we have the center camera straight. What hardware and software packages are out there to do this, Mark? Thanks

We are not going to be zooming in and out, we are going to set it at one zoom level and leave it at that always.

I am just trying to find the best way to record audio, either using a mixer or using the canon xl1?

Well it is a muslin fabric and right now we have it on stands. Would it be better to mount it to the wall? How would I attach like a metal pipe to the bottom to give it some downward pull? Thanks for all the help guys.
