[Christopher Tay] “If your video monitor has dual link 444 input, you can at least determine that the dual link 444 output from the K3 is ok. If the K3 output is ok, then it is definitely the setting in the SR deck. “

Hmm. I’m using the JVC DT-V24L1DU as my monitor. It has two HDSDI inputs, and I’ve got DL plugged in from the Kona (with DL out set in the panel). I can see the image on the monitor, but it’s green, like it’s only getting half the signal. There’s a button on the front that let’s me switch between input 1 and 2, but it doesn’t seem to work with both at the same time. It seems like it should work like the Kona box, where it recognizes both the inputs at once, since there are two inputs. I’m not really sure if it’s because the monitor can’t do it, or a problem with a 444 signal going out of the Kona (since the incoming 444 works fine on the Kona).

Yeah, I’ve tried playback in FCP. It’s still messed up. According to the manuel for the deck, there’s only one setting for 444, and it’s already set correctly.

Yes to all your questions. The signal out of the deck looks like it does on the display when I’m going out of the deck, but I’m not going out of the deck, I’m going into it. I’m looking at the signal on the deck monitor and my display itself. Everything on the Kona panel is set correctly, and I have 444 and the correct framerate set on the deck. One thing I forgot to mention is that when I’m going into the deck, if the image is still, as in not playing, it will match that of my display. But when I start to play it, the image on the deck becomes green and fuzzy. I can get it to work fine the other way (i.e. captruing 444 from the deck).

Yes, if you mean changing “System Signal” to 444 under “System Menu”. I don’t see any other option regarding 444, or rather no option regarding 444 input specifically.

Thanks for that. Good to further confirm things. Still waiting on that backup.

Hmm. Now that you mention it, when I was having this problem before (enough space to capture but not twice as much as I needed), we cleared the raid and I didn’t have a problem anymore. I’m waiting for the RAID to be backed up now so that we can clear it again. Hopefully afterward it’ll work. Maybe it is the problem. I’ll post if it works.

Have about 550 gb free, I’m trying to capture something that’s about 370 gb.

Fairly certain I do, else I probably wouldn’t have been able to capture 444 in the first place.

Yes, the settings are correct, and I’ve already started multiple new projects. Still dropping frames.
