Mr. Terry, I reviewed the object of your complaint and found no grounds for your objections.

Yes, there are cheaper EVERYTHING. But there are quality standards. If we ship you off to prosumer-land, you’d better know a LOT about audio so as not to underachieve and hurt your own reputation. Given that you said you don’t have a solid foundation in audio, sending you off with iffy-gear is a very bad idea.

Oh, and as a side note. Please don’t kill the messenger.

Hello Brett welcome to the Cow Audio Forum and sorry for your pain.

Sometimes, a card can become corrupted if it is not reformatted fairly regularly, like before each shoot. Yes, you CAN operate OK if you don’t, but at some point the card can’t handle it and starts misbehaving.

You have done all of the things I would have done, but one. Have you tried to access the files as Raw Audio Files using a free program called Audacity? Download Audacity to your computer, install it and see if it can read the files on your card as Raw Files. You may have to tweek the sample rate and channels to get the right speed, but you can then export the files to somewhere safe.

I also put “Invalid Project” and “H6” in Google and here’s what I found.

Hello Ryan,

Because Room Tone is used to fill digital silences, it’d typical to record Room Tone with whatever mic you’re using for dialog, if it’s a dialog scene.

Hello Daniel, et al,

Room tone is actually a minor misnomer. Room tone also includes the sound of the mic electronics.

Room tone often sounds different in different parts of a room. As such, if I need it, I record in every setup, either before we roll or after.

Ryan, the mix you’ll get will be two channels, left and right.

You just need to import it. That’s all.

Get your names right. There is only ONE center channel.

The other two in the front are Left and Right. A regular stereo mix will be fine.
