The next frontier of all of this would be transparent video in the web site. Now I have done this countless times using just dreamweaver cs3 and one of the pre-made video player skins.
What I would like to know is if there are any pop-up programs that you use to insert the video. I have tried Advanced DHTML pop which works just fine for internet explorer but when you open the web page in firefox and safari the video isn’t transparent.
Also Do you guys have any suggestions or links when it comes to creating your own video player skin? What I want to accomplish is to be able to create my own video player skin and also be able to have a close button so the user can get rid of the video. Any help or suggestions would be great.

Hi Terry,
I do all of the same things you are doing however I use the Flash video encoder that comes with Flash cs3 and have never had that problem. I would suggest downloading a demo and encode your video in that program and see if it helps.
Question:
I have perfected everything with the green screen, keying, apha channel, etc. The last obstacle for me has become the sound. Check out pagegravy.com. Wow, their sound is awesome. How did they get it that good. Are they using an audio filter to acheive that effect? I use very high end seinheisser wireless lavaliers and they sound fine in final cut but by the time it makes it out of the flash encoder it’s not that great. I need my audio to sound amazing like on pagegravy.com. Have you guys tried anything as far as audio goes?
Any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks to everyone.

Is there another plugin that you would suggest that is cheaper? I believe ultimatte costs $1,300 and for some reason it keeps closing Final Cut Pro with no warning. I imagine that is a really good one if I could get it to work but I also want to spend less money. I appreciate your help.
Thanks

Ok, I have perfected exporting from FCP with an alpha channel and then encoding as a flash video. The only part I need help with is chroma keying in Final Cut 5. I have an HD camera that keys out pretty good with the built in chroma keyer in final cut pro. I have a very well and evenly lite green screen. However, I still get edges with green halos and jagged edges when I take it too far in the chroma key so I have to back off and then I have some particles floating around.
My question. Is there a really good chroma key plugin that is really a step above the built in one that would give me better results? Or am I wasting my time in FCP and need to buy Ultra’s Magic?
Thank you to everyone for their help.

Ok, I know how to save a movie in animation, millions of colors plus now. How do I get this movie I exported to be transparent in Flash?
Thank you for your help.

How do I export in FCP to the animation codec millions of colors plus? I don’t see this option. Also I have noticed when export to any type of file from FCP such as .mov or any others and open it in the flash video encoder or flash and try and save it as a flash video the resulting enoceded video is choppy and out of synced. Why would this be?

Also is After Effects a better option for this? I just downloaded that and I am testing it out. No luck yet at getting a transparent background after keying out the green screen.

I am wanting to export transparent video from Final Cut Pro 5. My goal is to create a video spokesperson to be over layed on a web site that has a transparent background.
I have heard the getting Ultra 2 is the way to go but I want to use FCP since I don’t really want to buy Ultra. If I get the Sorsen Squeeze Product will this allow me to accomplish this. Will I need to do anything to the video between exporting from FCP and then dropping in dreamweaver?
I’ve almost got all of this figured out. Close, but missing a few key steps.
Thanks
