Yes, I too have the same problem and cannot find a Library/quicktime folder. I am at teh very end of a feature film and don’t know what happened. Please help. I can’t find any ProRess files to check with. This is really frustrating and scary. Also, my copy of FCP 7 was stolen from my classroom, so I can’t simply reinstall FCP.

  • Thanks, I’ll give it a shot.

  • I did not transcode them. FCP7 will take the files and play them fine when the timeline settings match the clip.

Also, I am using 7200 rpm hard drives.

I have the exact same problem happening and can’t figure it out either. I did export my project using Export > Quicktime conversion > HDV 1080p30 and it looked fine. I also exported it to ProRes422 and had no problems either, but it is very annoying to see when editing.

I am importing M2T files into streamclip, but I want to know the best format to convert it to for FCP. There are several HD formats that match what I have, but I don’t know what would be best.

I am going to shoot an action feature with the canon XH A1 and need to know what looks best. When I’ve shot action in progressive before, it locks all jumpy and I hated it. What can I do?
