I emailed the guys at tech support and this was their reply.

“The reason this is not working is because you are working with two different
    color spaces.

Basically, HDMI can carry both the RGB and YUV color space. However, DVI
only carries the RGB color space. Our cards only output YUV. As such, the
YUV signal is being passed over HDMI but once it hits the DVI adapter it no
longer gets passed as the DVI adapter is expecting RGB.

As the colorspace conversion is just being passed and not converted, this is
why it will not work. We do have a product that will do the YUV to RGB
colorspace conversion but this is specifically from SDI to DVI. We do not
have anything that will do HDMI to DVI.

So if you take the HDMI out to a HDTV this should work.”

*Goes out to get a monitor that has HDMI input*

    Hmmm
Well, I’ve always wanted to try out RAID. Better time then ever, I suppose. 😛
    Thanks for the help.
I don’t know why my CPU is struggling with this. Unless the multithreaded Huffy didn’t install correctly or something and it’s just using the “normal” Huffy.

    720p
WD Caviar Black and Green are used.
Here is the result from the Caviar Green (since it’s the one I mostly use for video storage)

And what VirtualDub says while I’m recording. This is with the Huffy compression, by the way. Which does work better than the BM one in VirtualDub, as far as framerate goes.

    @Robin
    Nope; didn’t help. 🙁

Thanks, but Huffy didn’t fix anything. It still has massive input lag on both the display (which I’m trying to play the game from) and in the recorded video. It’s not my computer either. Well, I would hope not.
    i7 920 @ 4GHz
    6gb DDR3 1600 @C7
    GTX 470
    Windows 7 x64

EDIT – It’s not “input lag” as I stated here. It’s a complete drop in framerate. As soon as I hit “capture video” both the VirtualDub display and the recorded video can’t muster 5fps.
