Your suggestions solved the problem I was having wonderfully. However, I now have a new mystery problem.

When I try to Preview or Burn the DVD, I get the following error:

internal software error:…M2VFrameEncoder.cpp, line 153

Does that mean anything to you?

When you refer to the encoding stage, you’re referring to the Sorenson Squeeze step, correct? Or is that step in Encore?

Switched TO 29.97 fps? That’s interesting. Are you saying I should be making sure to keep them at 30 fps?

Thanks for the response. You are basically confirming what I was suspecting; that there is no easy way to accomplish multiclipping when the footage is shot in this way. I just want to be able to explain this confidently to the producer/director who hired me. I’ve worked with him in the past and he shot the same way, hoping to multiclip. I could see no way to accomplish it so I just limped my way through the footage. Pluraleyes might be a decent band-aid, but now I can present a very polite argument to him to make an adjustment in the way he shoots in future!
