My process in cutting up a long interview/narrative piece on a Mac:
-Interview into Sequence
-Touch up color and brightness, etc.
-Touch up audio in Audition
-play through, hitting command-K to cut the end of phrases or pauses
-arrow left if I want to delete the thing I just heard
-“d”
-“shift-delete” to remove it entirely.
OR
-play through, command-K to cut the beginning of a pause
-“Q” when I reach the end of a pause, which does all of the above, deleting back to my last cut.
