  • Confirming same annoyance!

Was hoping someone had found a fix, but I haven’t discovered one yet.

  • This problem seems to still exist.

On my office Mac Pro (Late 2013) it will not send the media from Premiere Pro to After Effects. I have tried having an After Effects project already open, and I’ve tried with various media that has no keyframes. I’ve tried edits, and single pieces. Nothing ever opens in After Effects – just a blank composition. It is linked, though, so whatever I put in it shows up in Premiere Pro.

However, on my personal MacBook Pro (Late 2013), it works as expected. My current work-around is to do the “Replace with…” on my laptop, and then save and open it on the Mac Pro. Definitely not ideal.

Anyone figured out what might be causing this?

    Thanks!

    Awesome, thanks!

I have not yet spent much time customizing hotkeys in After Effects (defaults have been more than sufficient), but was hopeful such a method was possible for this particular inconvenience.

    Thanks again!

Thanks for the quick reply, Dave!

What I am hoping to do is be able to place a keyframe for a particular property (or multiple) on a layer using a keyboard hotkey.

For example, if I have ‘Time-Remapping’ open (“rr”), and I move to the beginning of the layer (“i”), how can I put a ‘Time-Remapping’ keyframe at that point using only the keyboard?

I often find myself moving to the beginning or end of a layer, opening its ‘Scale’ and ‘Opacity’ properties, and wanting to place a keyframe for both using a single keyboard shortcut – a “place-keyframe(s)-at-playhead-for-all-open-properties” shortcut.

I understand I can place a shortcut for one property at a time, like ‘Scale,’ using “alt+s” – but that doesn’t seem to work for “Time-Remapping”.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!
