  • So… the title of this post doesn’t lend to this entirely(meaning I am not sure if you were looking for details about settings you will find this) but hopefully this will help others in search of answers for settings….

I found what I think is a good link here:

    https://longzijun.wordpress.com/2010/06/14/premiere-pro-project-settings-for-hd-video/

    The author states:

“Hopefully, you know the necessary information (resolution, pixel aspect ratio, TV system and scanning method) about your video files already. You can find these details in your camera’s specifications. If necessary, you can download a free multi-media analyzer like AVIcodec (https://avicodec.duby.info/).”

If I just really need to know (resolution, pixel aspect ratio, TV system and scanning method)… I can get that figured out…

I guess I was just curious what all I would need to know to make an informed decision about the settings in Premiere… I didn’t realize I only needed to know the things stated above. This article seems to offer some great advice….

    Hope it helps….

  • bummer… but i kind of thought that… thanks for confirming that…

any recommendations for selecting all those options on the sequence menu… i know the frame rate and size but the other options seem daunting….

i would love to find a tut or something that would help me wade through it. Possibly there is a third party app that might help?
