February 2, 2009 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Multibridge Pro 2 – Green Video on HDMI InputI will. Hey, I’m actually looking to speak with a dif. network soon about gaming content, would you do me the additional kindness of dropping me an email? I’d love to ask you a couple questions.

Yeah, I wouldn’t count anything out so fast, only makes for longer troubleshooting. It very well could be that something changed about the computer, but let’s start with premiere:
How do you have monitoring set up? Are you putting the signal out to firewire or to another monitor out? When it was attempting to play out to my camera or deck, it would do this to me. Or something like it. It would play for a few frames then freeze.

February 1, 2009 at 5:50 pm in reply to: how to export without re-encoding, in native timeline codec?Have you tried using the media manager? I’m not sure the end purpose of your video after export, but there is a way to use the media manager to create a trimmed file version of the premiere project, keeping only the used portions of the videos. I have not tried this with P2 but it works great for HDV.

Thanks for the huge response, I’ve actually made a file of it for future use. Great share and I hope I can repay in kind sometime.
May I ask what network you work for?
Also, I’m really glad to hear they will address this. I was waffling on multibridge based on video game footage capture potential, so now I’m back in for a multibridge.
Thanks TONS.

Thanks for posting that setup, your hardware selection actually solves some problems for my setup. I think I’m going to give this Gefen deal a try.

For the record, BMD won my support when they responded to my posts here and had internal folks help me with cross compatibility issues between mac and PC footage for an urgent project I was on. This wasn’t too long ago so I can only imagine that their corporate culture hasn’t changed too dramatically for the negative.
I also imagine a lack of communication is because they have nothing to say and can say nothing that will be satisfactory, so choose to remain silent. I personally think that if they really want to rock like rock stars rock they might consider having their drivers out faster, though that is as much the fault of Adobe’s as any hardware mfr.’s.

I’d love to know this too. I’m considering a card and wondering how I could use it as a direct capture device from a component HD (any kind) signal.
I had one on a mac and there was no obvious way to accomplish this.

I hope it isn’t too late to chime in here:
After a few years of terrible support, faulty hardware, poor drivers, constant crashing, etc, I can wholeheartedly say use ANYTHING but Axio’s. I worked in a shop with 8 of them, each and every one of them causing more delays than they solved.

Yup, it’s on my monitor only as 4:3 when other video plays out correctly at 16:9. it fills the sides with black.
