OK.. great.. so I created a new timeline…set setting to anamporphic. selected all footage.. right clicked –removed attributes and selected distort… copied and pasted in the new timeline.. great..it’s now a true 16:9 much wider.. but on the canvas..is it supposed to have the black on top and black on bottom how it looks on final screen..
sorry if this question seem dumb.. but just making sure..

thanx again…OH .. by the way.. anyone know why my footage does not run smooth unless I have one video track playing at once only.. I can have a dead non-used track underneath the main one.. but it just kind of slows down a bit. . not smooth at all.. and I have a 2 X 2 ghz dual-core intel xeon with 3 gigs of ram.. from crucial… running on a seperate USB hard drive.. 7200 RMP seagete.. os 10.5.6
