Ok, I’ll stick with built-in mic for a while. But eventually, can’t I plug in a “stereo” mic and record in stereo?

Thanks Ty. I guess for now I want a mic to try on different subjects and learn with while getting better audio than the camera’s. Should I just stick with the H1’s built-in stereo mics until I learn more.
From the Zoom website:
“The H1’s stereo microphone input jack can provide plug-in power…”
Does that mean I can plug in mono or stereo mic?

I was able to synchronise 4 video clips to the audio clip, but I can only link one of the video clips to the audio clip.
Here are my tracks:
I have one stereo audio track with my main audio.
I have one video track with a clip that is linked to the audio.
I have a second video track that has three more video clips in the right sequence, but they are not linked to the audio and can be moved freely.
I can’t figure out how to move those three video clips into my other video clip and prevent them from moving around.

Can you help me get a feel for the importance of audio data? I have never edited audio. If it were a picture, I have a feel for resolution. But I have no idea what audio resolution can do for you and how little is too little. What can you do with high audio resolution? And is the Zoom H1 really capable of capturing all that resolution just because they included the settings for it?

I’ve read about the slow start up time for the H4N. Does that mean that everytime you press the record button you have to wait, or is it only once per session? How long is the wait?
