I own a 2700 with 2″ B&W panasonic viewfinder, but have tried the panasonic colour viewfinder on my camera and I didn’t like it. I think the small screen size is a problem and the LCOS seem to rainbow like a DPL projector. This is very anoying because your eye is always scaning around the frame. I have also used both of Sony’s colour viewfinders on Sony 750s, 900s etc and I think they are a much superior product. I would reconmend that you test for yourself as they are all very expensive.

I don’t know about those models as I only have the 2700 ( have used 3000 but didn’t notice at the time).
The small P2 cameras can do it, so can the Sony Xdcam and EX cameras. Not really complaining just checking I have not missed something in the setup.

    Thanks Jeff,
But it doesn’t help. It seems like the 2700 can’t do it. Strange as most other file based cameras Sony and Panasonic can.

    Hi Jeff,
You need to goto main menu and open ‘Cam Operation’ in there is the ‘White Balance Mode’ with preset white adjustment. You can also assign this function to a user switch so you can change it without having to go into the menus. Hope this helps. Only just got the camera and couldn’t be happier with it. Shame about the price drop though!
