Would this be quicker or slower to do than just using Compressor? I’ve done a couple of tests now and I’m reasonably happy with the results, but it takes an incredibly long time – converting a file of about 1 minute took around 15 minutes, which considering I will be converting something of around 45 minutes is a bit terrifying.

Ok, so it should be fine to just test it on DVD players here.

As for the actual conversion process, this page seems to be referred to a lot:

so at the moment i plan to try following that method.
