    I didnt have the problem in CS3… I’m guessing the method of encoding has changed with Media encoder CS5.

    Everytime I export as an SD/Widescreen .m2v MPEG2 file, rather than HD WS MPEG2, it produces those vertical black strips.

    I’m about to try Blu-ray m2v to see whether it does it there too.

    Are you exporting PAL or NTSC? I’ve tried both, but use PAL here in Aus.

    Let me know how you’re progressing!

    By the way, this can’t be an isolated issue, I’ve heard of others having the same thing happen to them…I imagine it simply comes down to the media encoder stuffing up.

    I’ve been having the exact same problem!

    I can’t do anything to fix it, and it’s making DVDs non-presentable to clients!

    Have you had any luck in fixing it?

    I never had this in CS3, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
