  • Thank you for the link. Perhaps I did not express myself well. What I want is not already there. I want these items overlaid on the actual video. When the final product video plays, I want to see these times displayed.

I want to see the action and I want to know how long the actions take. I want it displayed much like the Sony SMPTE time counter is displayed when one inserts it on a track.

For instance if you threw 3 basketballs through the hoop, I want to see the video of you performing the action. I also want a clock on screen ( not simply on the Vegas interface ) that shows me how long it took you to sink all three and what your split times were between baskets. Start / basket=m1 / basket=m2 / basket=m3 and Stop.

So the counter might show 3:07 for m1 meaning you took 3 seconds to sink that one, then 1:37 for m2 meaning you took only a second and a half to sink the second one / then 2.15 or 2 seconds for the 3rd shot. The total elapsed timer would show 7:02 as total elapsed time from Start to sinking of 3rd basket.

  • Ok, mine is not responding exactly as you say ( V8P ) but I did notice something on the lower right. When I double click I get three time items.

Selection Start | Selection End | Selection Length

Here is what I would like.

Let’s say the video is playing. As the video plays I would like a time notation playing (similar to the SMPTE track effect) That displays……

Selection Length from START to M1, then selection length from M1 to M2, etc. When it gets to M10 I would also like to see total elapsed time from START to M10. Again I would like this overlaid on the video similar to the SMPTE Time effect.
