Hi,

Proress doesn’t seem to be an option. A friend suggested that I export the footage from QuickTime Pro as a DV stream using the DVCPRO50 codec.

I exported a test clip and it looks close enough to the original image (this project was shot by amateurs on a Flip Video camera with terrible lighting so quality loss is not a huge issue)

I imported the test clip into FCP, used the Analyze tool to make sure my sequence settings are correct, which they are, however all the audio needs to be rendered. I have the Sequence set to 48.000 khz, depth: 16 bit, config: Stereo, just like the Analysis says. However the audio needs to be rendered.

I went to Audio/Video Settings and tried changing the Sequence Preset to DV50 NTSC 48 KHz, but that hasn’t helped.

Do you know what I’m doing wrong with the Audio?

Thanks so much for the fast reply. Out of curiosity, if I make a copy the Subject’s channel (Input 2), and paste it to Track A1 and A2 in FCP for the parts where he is speaking, in favor of having the Subject on A1 and a silent Interviewer track playing on A2, will that cause any kinds of problems? Is it better to just leave the Audio on one channel if it was recorded the way I did it?
