Hi guys. Im having this same issue and deleting the waveform cache files and repairing the permissions as Matt mentions doesn’t seem to be working. Any other ideas anyone?

I was recently able to fix this issue by creating a new user. Logging in as that user and then lauching final cut. WHite screens were gone. Then I logged out, and logged back in as my normal user and the white screens were still gone. Awesome!

I’m having this same issue. Driving me crazy. Only happens when my 15″ macbook pro is not connected to my 20″ older cinema display.
