I’ve come accross this when I’ve conformed an AAF, rendered as ‘export to FCP’ and then tried to export a FCP XML of the sequence/timeline.

It’s not Nick’s work I’m doubting, its the accuracy of 3D LUTs in general. I’m quoting Graeme Nattress here ‘Generally 3d LUTS have such low precision that you won’t get an accurate conversion.’

You really don’t need the full x16 lanes for each card. Also if you have gen 3.0 PCIe cards, x8 is the same as x16 gen 2.0.

As for YUV/RGB, wouldn’t the FCP timeline settings specify the output? Ie if source is YUV and sequence RGB then FCP would handle the conversion.
Is it even possible to get dual link RGB 10b 444 out of FCP with a decklink hd extreme 3d!?

I’ve got a 422 10b signal out OK but can’t figure out how to get 4:4:4 over dual link (The 5500 deck has the 444 add-in board fitted) in FCP. I think I can get 4:4:4 RGB out of resolve but can’t see an option in FCP. Any ideas?

I have two timelines to layback, one 24p, the other 25p. Th 5500 can record 4:4:4 SR over dual link at both of these frame rates can it not? How do I get the output from FCP?

470/570 are best value for money but you need 2.5GB+ (ideally 3GB+) for any 4K work.

3GB 580 is best if you can get a mac one (macvidcards?) but it can definitely work on windows/hackintosh.
