Hi Ola
Apologies, indeed the .mov is there in the Clip Details section and this does work for me. If you say Embedded in Source Clip has worked, then we may be talking about a different issue here.I have attached screenshots of all the settings, including, FCP EDL export, the resulting EDL, the Config settings, the Browse|Clip Details window and the Conform window with the EDL showing the same Reel names as the Clip Details.
On each event the EDL shows a comment
* PROBLEM WITH EDIT: CLIP HAD NO REEL NAME.
This is perfectly normal and symptomatic of the Canon DSLR footage, as is all events having AX in the reel column, if the events have something akin to a correct reel number and you don’t have this comment, then you have got real Reel numbers and need a different combination of settings in DaVinci.Let me know how you get on.

Hi
I notice from your screenshot that you have Embedding in Source clip file selected, the pattern will only work when selecting ‘Source Clip File Pathname’.
After changing this you need to Refresh the folder that contains your media in the Media Storage window, the list of clips in the Clip Details window will update, here the Reel No should be the file name without any extension and should match the Reel column entry in your EDL display in the Conform window, (see next paragraph) (this is not case specific so MVI_7858-ProResHQ will be treated the same as MVI_7858-PRORESHQ.) This will prove that DaVinci is extracting the Reel number from the clip correctly.
Next the EDL has to reflect the correct clip names not just ‘AX’. As Vladimir says use File Names in your comments in FCP EDL export settings not Clip Names, also check the setting on the Config page is extracting the file name from the EDL comment. If this doesn’t work I suggest turning off Video Levels, Audio Levels and Transitions on the FCP EDL export page, I don’t know whether these may confuse DaVinci as they are non-standard for a CMX 3600 list.

Hi Peter
Thanks for the update on the Resolve. We are now into August and a few weeks have indeed passed us by. Hint! Hint!Have there been any further developments regarding which Control surfaces will be supported when the software is released?
Thanks

Hi
I’m using the Sonnet Tech Fusion 500P, vai their Express Cardmaxed out with 5 drives I measured 122MB read and 105 MB write with the AJA test software.
The express card has two ports and if you raided 10 drives together in 2 boxes (i believe you can do this) then it would be n just enough for single stream uncompressed HD.
The bandwidth limit of the ExpressCard then comes into play, which there is no getting around. The drives configured like that will do quite a bit more.
cheers

Thanks for the replies folks, the only other question is up to the AJA distribution people.
Yours waiting patiently
