In Premier Pro, consider the following:
Project->Scratch Disks
Captured Video
Captured Audio
Video Preview
Audio Preview
I have my footage on it’s own disk. Should I point “Captured Video” folder to where I have my raw video? Is that the idea? I didn’t capture anything. Everything will be imported to the project.
Same with audio. I recorded separate audio and have that in a different location. Or I could create a folder on the same disk as my footage and store it there. Should I point the “Capture Audio” folder at my raw audio folder?
Regarding Video Preview and Audio Preview: Should I have these on separate hard drives? To recap:
c: Windows and CS4 Premier Pro
D: Raw Footage, Set “Captured Video” to this disk.
This disk will also contain audio that I recorded, set “Captured Audio” to this disk.
E: Video Preview and Audio Preview: This disk is an empty disk. Should I set “Video Preview” and “Audio Preview” locations to this disk? This will disk will contain only my preview files.
Am I thinking about this correctly?
Thanks
