And that would be fun and would be my preference. But somehow I don’t think that is what is going to happen. What I suspect will be happening is an attempt at rebranding high end post production.

OK. Now I am really intrigued.

There appears to be blood leaking on to my screen all the time. I thought it was just me. But now with this Smoke rumor which, from what I read, involves FCP X, I don’t know what to think.

Recent Avid’s do handle this quite well and though I did run into a problem doing this on a long form project that may well have been due to my own legendary stupidity. And unpleasant as this may sound the one time I made this mistake with FCP 7 the only solution was, just as Shane said, to go in and fix it shot by shot.

And, as a general observation, I don’t know of any NLE that mixes frames rates well. The longer a project gets the worse the problems become.

And, if so, what version of Avid?

No, I don’t use them either. But the “take my posts and don’t bother to comment if you don’t agree” attitude – especially when followed by an admonition on civil discourse -is hard not to comment upon.

I suppose one other option would be that you could write, but not post. Or you could write, post, but warn people in the subject line that they might not want to read. Or you could write, post, and then not respond any parries. Or, as you have done, tell people not to pay any attention to what you post. So many possibilities…

    You will be grandfathered in.
