And as far as the support goes at present all representatives are busy helping other customers and my current wait time is approximately 40 minutes and 5 seconds (!)

Certainly I have faced that issue before and solved in in ways that ran from restart to zapping the the PRAM to clean installs to purchasing new hardware. But it didn’t happen that often, and never as soon as two days after an install. So, I don’t really understand your point.

My late 2008 MBP also does pretty well. No trouble with multiple streams of h.264 or 720 or 1080 prores. Sadly not the same for my early 2008 MacPro.

Indeed. From my perspective Adobe has thirty days. If they can prove their worth to me in those thirty days then I’ll stay with them. If not…

Well, of course, I never thought of it in that context. Everybody owns everything! Thanks for clarifying this. If someone would let the lawyers in on this we might have a perfect world. (Tongue held very tightly in cheek.)

Well, I guess I’m the crash test dummy here as I’m downloading the apps now. They do give you thirty days to run it into the ground and see what happens. If you cancel before that they refund the month. So nothing to lose really (I hope.)

How would we live without sports metaphors? In my football playing days I was constantly bombarded with the “There is no tomorrow!” nonsense. I would respond by pointing out what day of the week tomorrow was going to be.
