unfortunately premiere blows out the whites whether i use the converted MXF files OR the wrapped MP4’s. i can’t understand why something free like VLC will play roughly the correct colour information where as premiere displays an almost unusable picture. i have also tried exporting out a clip from premiere (hoping that it was purely a display issue) but i still get seemingly overexposed footage.

    any ideas?
