Bingo…it’s over-driving…either there’s a white that’s too bright or a color that’s over-saturated. RGB values for NTSC gfx should be set fro the brightest at 235 and the darkest at 16. If it’s color saturation, back it off a bit.

Are the pixels mapping incorrectly?

The logo is most likely square pixel (?) and DV project settings are .9 pixel aspect in a 4×3 project and 1.2 in a 16×9 project.

If you right-click the logo in the Project Window, select “Interpret footage and see what it says about pixel aspect. If it says.9, try changing it to 1.0…if it says 1.0, try changing it the other way…etc.

I’m not really clear on exactly what you’re seeing so this would be the first place I’d look.

What’s “every other app”? I know Vegas has it, I’m sure Quantel and Dicreet have it…Does Avid have it on the system that would be price-competitive with PPro? I suppose Liquid Edition does?. FCP? I’m not sure about Velocity, Media 100, Media Studio Pro, XPRI, Cinegy, I know Edius doesn’t…

I think since Adobe has this tool in the stable with AE (which you have or you wouldn’t call the feature “time re-mapping”), they have it “in the family” so to speak. I suppose that might lead them to prioritize other areas.

Again…your assertion that “everyone would have to agree” on this feature as being a “major” feature just isn’t the case. That doesn’t mean you’re off-base asking for it, it just means that that feature may not be the highest priority coming from every voice giving input.

I have it on my list…

He he…well, there are a lot of products from Adobe these days…they’d need a few more walls.

I have a feeling that how many sheer “requests” each feature has is considered along with how easy it may fit in with the next version…or since one area of the software may be up for a big redesign in the version after…maybe the feature would be easier to integrate into the re-tooling as opposed to “retrofit” into the existing…etc.

Also…as you’re approaching release and one particular feature that you’ve added has broken so many things that it is either going to delay release by 6 months, or it needs to be removed…there’s a decision to make there as well.

You are correct, there’s no pleasing everyone… I was a HUGE detractor of dropping AB timeline editing…it was so easy to train as it was very visual. It needed to go to create the new system where we can put transitions on any track, etc. Now, I would never go back.

I guess everyone (including me) wants change…until they get some. 🙂

Did I say anything about not bringing this stuff up? Shoot out all the suggestions…they do get back to Adobe. All I’m saying is don’t think that because every suggestion isn’t implemented immediately that somehow Adobe isn’t listening to the suggestions.
