“While using FCP 4.5 on a G5, I export a QuickTime file, then import it into iDVD. Looks good on a computer, but when it plays on a TV I get interlacing whenever there’s movement. What am I doing wrong?”

Are you using iDVD 4.0.1 or 5.0.1? I’m having the same problem with 5.0.1 with FCP 4.5 & FCP 5 in Panther and Tiger. The only combination that works for me is Mac OS X 10.3.8, QT 6.5.2, FCP 4.5, Pro App Support 2.1 ( don’t install 3.0 in Panther 10.3.8) & iDVD 4.0.1. iDVD 5.0.1 also adds black bars to the top and bottom of a “Decklink” encoded QT movie. I haven’t tried a QT reference movie yet. I’ll let you know if that helps.

Does anyone else have this problem with iDVD 5.0.1 & FCP QT Movies?
