I here you! I was looking for something lite to travel with on a plane for some overseas work.

    Thanks!

  • What about trying oversample with your footage in Vegas?

  • I make the entire file broadcast safe 7.5 conservative.

  • We will do the following for a client:

    1. Work with the client and record a master audio track to edit..
    2. Edit PPT in PowerPoint and convert to PNG’s (Tiff’s are ok but BIGGER)

    3. Use Vegas and Sound Forge tools to edit audio track- then lay PNG’s over audio. (Sometimes(75% of the time) we go to the customer lecture site and use native lecture audio, but really attempt to control the audio using our own audio equipment) We’ll video the speaker and edit this video over the PNG/powerpoint slides- This is where we will use the “Black” on one track and size the PNG so the slide is readible- I’ve only had one client that insisted on Camtesia due to the amount of Powerpoint transitions within a slide (up to 20). In my opinion this was way to busy for a TV lecture. –

    4. We then edit and deliver a fairly clean file that the client can distribute. Of course we discuss what end result they want in advance.

    I hope this helps!

  • 1. Save the PPT slides as PNG’s (in PowerPoint)
    2. Use a black background and crop all of your PPT PNGs on the timeline
    3. You might need to do a slight blur on some PPT PNG’s in your timeline
    4. De-interlace your png’s
    5. I’ve done about a 100 of these and for some fairly large fortune 500 companies.

    6. You have a lot more control if you edit your PPT slides before you save them as PNG’s

    7. I’ve found this to be a stronger solution than Camtesia….

Is there a website that sells this product? I’m looking for a DAT recorder for event and field work to mix in with B Roll images.

Are you referring to splitting (s key)?

The rule is; if nothing is selected, everything is split.
If everything is selected, everything will split.
If anything is selected, all selected will split.

Yes I am reffering to the s key, but I am not clear on your post…Could you please recheck your post…
