Hey guyz, lots of information there. So in general, since im working mostly with H.264 and web players like vimeo or youtube, should i set both my monitor to sRGB and also the AE to sRGB as working profile? what about the output? thanks

I started checking these things out last night, and i noticed that my pci-e was 2.0 instead of 3.0. I read some articles about that and i fixed it. NVIDIA disabled somehow the 3.0 from 680/670 cards for more stability in speed. I fixed that anyways but it said the only difference in speed i could see would be if i was using SLI.
Concerning power, i use a 1200W psu. How can i check if the card gets all the power it needs, with some software or something? thanx a lot guyz

ps.vishesh, i ve done all these things i read, which werent neccessary cause the card is new. I ll keep looking into it though has some very useful tips.

Vishesh, thanx for ur quick response. Well is not seconds is like 50% down. Check this:
“Okay finally my new GTX 680 4GB Phantom arrived and i did the same test again.

    Win 7 64Bit
    Intel i7 2600 @ 3,4GHz
    16Gb Ram
    GTX 680 4GB Phantom

    2 Min 49 Sec”

This is half time from my system. I have nothing else open, i just have skype and my browser. This is so weird. Also when i do VrayRT (gpu rendering) i m like 50% slower than other benches i tested. Btw, since u mentioned multithread, i get this message in the specific scene: “incompatible artisan, multiprocessing disabled”.
Despite that message which has to do with Raytrace engine, maybe something has to do with my drivers? Cause with new nvidia drivers i do the scene at 7:30, with some old drivers i do it on 6:10… Is huge difference if u see it like a percentage. And is far from the 3 or so minutes that i read from others. I mean i must have a huge bottleneck in my system or my graphic card is working on half of its power. Im certainly im missing something here but idk what 🙁 thanx for ur help

    BENCHMARK AVAILABLE HERE – https://www.teddygage.com/AEBENCHCS6/

Its this scene from this post: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1019120

I see others people’s posts here that are half time than mine with much worse cards. I also noticed in GPU rendering in 3ds max that the times im getting are twice than others. So then i tried to do a bench in AE regarding my GPU and i saw same bad results there… I dont really know whats going on. Maybe my card is faulty? I dont think is a coinsidence that my render times are slow in both max/ae. Can u do a quick test on that scene? Im using CS6 latest patch/windows 7 x64. I need to do something inside AE settings for my GPU? I just wanna make sure that all is good in terms of settings in order to say that my GPU has problems. thank u very much

  • How is that possible i do 7:07 on i7 3930k @ 3.5 / 32 gb ram / GTX 680 phantom 4gb / ssd intel 330

Isnt that a bit slow? i also noticed when i was working 3ds max my gpu based rendering was like 1 minute less than what i was reading in forums… What i ve possibly done wrong here? thanx
