Thanks so much for the help. I figured it out. I ended up running tests with the capture settings in FCP 7. Even though it was 1080i or 1080p 59.94 I selected different frame rates by editing the 1080i 59.94 capture settings. Ultimately 30fps is what has worked. Everything, even after a 30min capture, is completely in sync. I wonder if all the other posts about this issue could be solved that way? Thanks again,

I have also captured in Blackmagic 1080i 59.94, 10 bit, 8 bit, pro res, same result.

Hello,

I am having the same problem of audio drift/ out of sync on files in FCP7. They play in sync with QT, MPEG, and VLC. I have tried the above mentioned fixes and converting the file into pro res, even though it is already a pro res file, does fix the problem. I was hoping someone has found another easier fix because I am working on shows that run anywhere from 30mins to 4 hours. Converting/transcoding time becomes heinous. Any help?
