My main issue is that I’m having a heck of a time setting up my TC .. I almost feel like
taking it back …

I want to keep the original network I already have with a Linksys wireless,
and add the TC as an extension to my network.

I tried various different ways of setting up:

1) i connected an ethernet cable from the Wan port in TC to the
cable modem port. Then another ethernet cable from a Lan port to
another lan port in my Linksys router.
I went through the set up in TM, and Airport could not see my TC.

2) I connected a ethernet cable from the cable modem to the Wan port in the Linksys. Then an ethernet from a lan port to lan port on the Linksys.
Airport could not see my TC.

3) I also just went with ethernet cable from Wan in Linksys to cable modem.
And let the TC connect wirelessly. Airport could not see my TC.

The problem has to be in my settings (i think), because I’m sure I’m connecting the cables right. I wanted to keep the original network on my Linksys, and add the TC as an extension to my network. But when that didn’t work, I tried creating a new network with TC as the main router.

I’m not getting any results.
I’ve been at this since yesterday morning.
And I can’t call anyone in Apple to help me, can I?

Can anybody help me? I know that there are places in appple.com
that tell you what to do step by step, including the manual.
I’ve been there, done that. No luck.

BTW: the TC is a 802.11n and my Linksys is a 802.11+g+
could that be the problem?
