Addendum
I am finding that this tool is very useful and accelerates editing finished videos. I don’t as yet know how to modify the selection parameters, and the quirks of the subsequent interaction with the full editor, but it is very helpful already
Thanks

I need your help a bit more. I have some videos that are already in the media pool (To make it more complicated the two videos are part of a 2 camera shot video) However I think I will need to split them up into clips and think that i might have to go the EDL route that you mentioned. Could you outline that a bit more please Thanks

November 14, 2019 at 9:48 pm in reply to: Considering DaVinci Resolve — need wisdomHI It works fine with Windows 10. I am using an old Dell with an I7 processor and built in 1 gigabit Etthernet port and just USB2 and just 16 Gig of RAM with a 2 TB Drive. Because of the huge size of ProRes 422 files I was forced to use External 8 TB drives to hold the decompressed videos. and then store the MP4 output from rendering on my NAS It all seems to work for me though I am currently editing only HD files. I will be switching to 4k soon which might be a problem. Currently apart from slow system start up I am very happy with my experience I can render an hour long video in 2 hours, That probably would be inadequate for a professional. My slowness is mainly related to my learning curve as I started in the basement.

Yes. I was stupid not to think of it but as I didn’t do it deliberately I thus didn’t think. It is just my long slow learning process.

P.S. It seems to me that the manual in 16.1+ is getting better and more clear cut. I have been finding that it seems much more helpful. or is it my understanding. ?? However knowing my snails pace I think that it is the environment I am passing that is improving. It is certainly very encouraging -
I have solved the problem. Sorry for the post
