    Here is my solution:

Select the Pre Comp, go to Effects>3D Camera Tracker. Apply it to the Pre Comp. In this case it will probably give you a warning sign and a red banner saying it can’t 3D Track a Collapse Transformation layer. So, on the left of your Pre Comp layer there is the Collapse Transformation button (the 2nd one). Just turn it off. You are all set.

The reason this function is turned on probably is because you are working with offline sequence in PP, or your sequence is different from the footage aspect ration and resolution that you are using. For example, I work with RED 5k (5160×2160) in Premiere Pro in an offline 720p sequence with the “Adjust to Frame Size” function turned on on every clip. The Collapse Transformation function in AE is basically the “Adjust to Frame Size”. So, if I decide to export in any of the softwares from the Offline 720P sequence to the 5K, it will Rasterize accordingly with me not needing to create a new 5k comp in any of the softwares (or at least this is how I’ve been working and seems to be working right). However, let’s say I want to Warp Stabilize in PP, It won’t work, because the footage doesn’t match the sequence. So, you nest it in the offline sequence and you’re all set. Warp Stabilizer and Track Camera share almost identical way of analysis the footage.

It’s a messy explanation, but I hope you get it.

    Best,
    Teo
