    I know it’s a bit late, but you do know there is a “audio on button”. You can just turn off the audio. Long time has passed, but maybe you’ll use it for future projects. BTW, the amount of decibels isn’t converted to a percentage, it just subtracts that amount of decibels from the audio. So if you have audio at 120 db, -96 db wouldn’t give pure silence. It may be little, but using the “Audio Off feature” will save ram an d file size. On top of that, auto audio adjustment won’t get confused, causing more RAM usage and extended render times. The audio button is next to the eye, the visual sign. Click the speaker sign to toggle it on and off. It is the second from the left on the layer.
