I have an KWorld, from a very long time ago. the cables I believe are good for connecting VCR to my computer….Program is very old, called Power Director, which is what I had used eons ago. I was by a friend they didn’t think the program would work since its very old and may not be compatible with Windows 10. I have not installed.

I have the hardware to connect my VCR to computer. What I don’t have is an updated program. I have a very old pro program called PowerDirector [Kworld] that I had used at one time. Ten years old and may not be compatible with my new computer with Windows 10

In my persistence to figure out what the heck….one of the authors from the CIB book contacted me……problem solved….sort of…at least I now understand…..

Hi, I am one of the authors of the Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book. You are right, there is a difference between the book and the current version of Adobe Camera Raw.

The reason is that when the 2020 edition of Photoshop Classroom in a Book was released, it was written for the version of Photoshop that was released at Adobe MAX in 2019 (Photoshop 2020). At that time, Adobe Camera Raw was at version 12.

In June 2020, Adobe released Adobe Camera Raw 12.3, where they completely redesigned Adobe Camera Raw for the first time in many years. Suddenly the software no longer matched what’s in the book. The book is typically updated on a regular basis to keep up with the changes in Photoshop and Camera Raw, so the Camera Raw chapter can be expected to match the software again in a future edition, which is not yet available or announced.

I know that is not helpful for the Camera Raw chapter in the edition of the book that you have, but that’s the situation at the moment.

For reasons I have no idea, all is suddenly Photoshop 2020 working properly…….nothing that I did that I am aware of …..

That is really nice of you and if I was in Cali, I would definitely take you up on your offer. I am in Raleigh, NC. Which is why there are not too many places to try equipment out, hence B & H of NYC. Very good return policy. Out of curiosity, is your camera mirrorless?

If there is a preset, I haven’t found it yet. It does have a set where I can put D3 [canon Mark D III] I tried it, doesn’t change anything. Very modestly priced, which may be limitation. You’ve been kind to answer give suggestions. I’m not in a place where I can go to a store and test out a lot of different monitors to see…..[good news, I have 30 days to return if I can’t live with this].
