Thanks Sean, I found out that on Premier it is possible to use the native file format directly from consumer type video camera, but i’m not a big fan of premier …. when is apple gonna take their applications seriously??

I guess that would mean subclips are okey to work with in a 24@25 workflow

I went through what i think is the whole manual of cinema tool 3 and 4 but i can’t seem to find the part that states something about subclips and 24@25 environment… if you have time please could you possibly pinpoint exactly where I should be reading? Thank you

Hi Nick…

What do you mean by the FCP 24@25 calculations won’t work with subclips, because as i am working right now it seems to be in accordance with the burn in FN and TC…please clearify it before i get myself in too deep. Thanks

Thanks for the advice! Could the image be inferior because of the pioneer burning process? or the quality of the DVD-R??

The DAT had its own internal timecode which did not relate to the camera. On other film if this is the case I sync to the clapper board. I was worry that if I replace them on the timeline or other methods the EDL would not come out right. Please give me some idea. Thanks.

yes I have done that …but doesn’t seem to be working. I was thinking of reinstalling the driver, but not quite sure if it will effect the whole setup, because we are finishing off on the cut. The card is the Decklink HD Pro, and the driver is version 5.2, I have another system that uses the new Decklink HD extreme, would the driver for this be compatable? Do I need to get it working or should I finish my cut since the FCP is working fine and I can still edit on it. Thanks so lot.
