dang, tried to find the post. Maybe not searchable anymore. Make a long story short, I moved my conformed and preview files to scratch disk and I couldnt get video or audio on any of my projects. I believe mr. anaarav assited on that one. Showed me a website that helped fix the problem. Had to move conformed audio and preview files back to symstem hard drive. Logic would tell me if you set up all that on the scratch disk after a fresh install of p.pro then it would work. Sure there is a solution to this problem, but noone came up with one.

only thing you should store on scratch disk is actual captured vide/audio and movie exports.

Do not, I repeat do not place conformed audio on scratch disk(or preview files).

yes, latest drivers for the card. (77.72)windows xp.

O.k. When the directx was updated to 9c a pop up came up saying this version is not windows xp logo certified. If you continue problems may occur. Of course I continued. Just tried to capture video in vegas 5 and that crashed(first time). Went to microsoft directx site, no help there. Looks like I’ll have to revert back to directx 8 to solve if there are no other suggestions.

if you mean export to tape, when the export settings pop up, there is an option that lets you place a certain amount of black when it exports. Check that.

O.k. I lied(maybe) as far as I know..there is no “format” for broadcast colors. Just apply a broadcast color filter/effect to a track/timeline/clip and it automatically keeps colors legal.
