    Hi Kevin!

They are logging on both Win and Mac clients. Everthing is 1080i50 P2 based MXF files.
No proxies are generated. As far as we can see the timecode is completely way off on severeal clips in CatDV these might of been logged on Win clients running the Calibrated software.

Any idea on why the clips becom offline after publishing to server?

    Regards
    Stuart

    Thanks Kevin!

We are getting close here. At the moment copying sequences over to a new catalog and pasteing the meta data in one big go is working fine. But! There is a little snag.

    Here is an example:
In your FCP sequence you are only using 12 of 40 clips imported to FCPs browser when you started your edit.
Everything is imported as folders into FCP (P2 MXF files) so finding and relinking the folders in CatDV is easy accept you have to manually paste the metadata to the clips one by one, since all the clips are not used on the FCP timeline and dont come into FCP. Is it possible to see all the clips that are imported to FCPs browser in CatDV?

One more thing. They are having audio problems. When exporting a new XML for FCP it complains over that the audio is in a unkown format and cannot find a translation for it. Seen this before? As mentioned evertyhing is P2 based MXF files using MXF4Mac.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the feedback Kevin!

Testing this out here now and we can not seem to find the Paste Metadata command in the Edit menu.
Also do you think this command would work on a folder level? All the «tapes» are in folders.
The client has hundreds of files that have been used in FCP but logged after in CatDV. Hopefully we can somehow get the logging info from CatDV back into the clips in FCP. XML maybe?

Also. Does anybody have any expirence with subtitling? Are client has a lot of translated text in done in the Verbatim Logger that shows up fine in FCP, but it would be great if you could paste this text in FCP, so you could use this as your subtitling tesxt without having to go back to CatDV.

    Cheers
    Stuart
