  • Hi Darby,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I did assumke it was a RAM/page file issue and have tried taking chips out. I had a system meltdown recently which turned out to be a faulty motherboard, so had that replaced. but this bluescreen crash still occurs after that. Settings for memory and cache are identical between v7 and CS3. I’m trying to get on with this ad for now and for the last few hours it’s been behaving, so fingers crossed! But a serious issue that needs resolving by more testing when not so busy!

On the QT issues. I’m now working successfully in CS3, so is ok for now, but I’d like to get to the bottom of it. The grabbing was done elsewhere. They are 10 bit uncompressed and yes, I shall be rendering to that in the end for return to the facility for playout to digi. It’s just weird that v7 doesn’t know what they are but CS3 does if it’s a missing codec issue.

    Hi Luke,

Thanks for the quick response. I don’t use Combustion mych (to my shame) not got round to really getting to grips with it! However, I know my way round it fairly well and yes! Framebuffer works in C* and yes BM playback is fine. Seems to be just AE.
