is honestly great to hear the feedback from you guys. i suppose wedding industry (which we are focused on at the moment) is different from what you guys are doing. our hours are quite long usually 10 to 13 hours days.
i do like all the suggestions mentioned and gonna give it a thought.
is just in my industry, at least in my city, we don’t see too many ppl in the wedding industry past 40 and rarely 50+ and beyond.
even photographer’s too, i dont see too many of them at those ages.
i guess wedding is just different, in the summer we really don’t have a weekend and is just non stop working. i am happy about the pay, but yeah i just dont think i can or would want to do this forever. once in a while is nice to have a weekend, spend time with your families and friends.

this looks like a bad recording media. could be the memory card or the tape used. or it could because of file compression if they are compressing the files and sending it to you online.

in my city, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There is a large company that would send out videographers & photographers for recital events, dance performances, sports competition and etc.
They would send clients a proof for photos and orders for print and believe it or not, they are still selling dvds to this day.
However, seeing how trends are and with so many people with a decent cellphone now, I would say is best to consider an alternative revenue source.
event streaming is pretty good, broadcasting events online is not difficult if you can figure out the internet source, some events will pay a decent money for a professional to do it right.

have you thought about shooting 4k? with 4k footage you might be able to zoom into each person in post by cropping, what do you think?

we had a similar situation. usually cheap led lights will flicker. try changing your shutter speed if you see it in camera, in post, there are some plugins that you can use to try and resolve it.
