I had downloaded the clips to our laptop (the one without FCP 6) and had them on a drive.
I formatted the original card in the camera and transferred the clips back to the card using the USB connection. The clips came back as MP4 files instead of SMI.

the laptop only has FCP 5 on it. Transfer works in our Mac Pro but this is the first time I loaded it onto the laptop.

I had that discussion with a dealership many years ago and he informed me that “His type of customer is so stupid that you have to keep telling them over and over. It’s almost like you need to reach out and shake them, like when your kids are bad”. We don’t do any work for him. I can only imagine what would have happenned during the first payment dispute.
