aloha robin,
i was wondering if you got any help with you time lapse question? i recently did a time lapse of a sunset for a mainland production company. i believe i set the frames at rec 1 frame with a pause of 7 frames for 40 minutes which came out to approx 5 min. total record time. it looked killer. but i did sense i was makin the machine work hard. i think the true deal with time lapse is what effect fro what subject? being here in hawaii i do time lapse with clouds, so i have to keep the clouds flowing, not jumping. i have done some othe time lapse that has a more herky jerky feel in city or traffic shots that has a kool look. the sony ex-1 has fixed settings for their time lapse and whatever the smallest increments of rec/pause time 2frames to 1 sec paused i think. and that also is acceptable for cloud flow/ though it doesz make them move fast. anyway i hope this helped a bit.
aloha
