Try placing a solid with Fractal Noise applied over it. Animate the noise evolution, and mess with extra star layers, transfer modes and starglow to make it happen. The result should be brighter stars fading in and out because of the Fractal Noise layer.

I believe he was referring to the action taken after adding the keyframe, that is, changing the value of the keyframe in the timeline.

RE:flex has great control. You choose what to morph. Good tool.

It’s probably not a one-effect shot. For the morph, I recommend Twixtor. You might also need to pan or stretch (increase the x-scale) each shot to make the effect look good.

Use time remapping to speed up the video as the camera moves?

Good question.
You could try ctrl-shift-P (for position) to open the dialog. Then you can tab between the fields.
You can then navigate between keys with the J, K keys, and of course, enter timecode to nav to a point in time.
The other shortcuts are under layer>transform. Note that the shortcuts don’t work for scale or anchor point.

One way would be to have him wear a bright, saturated (!) green t-shirt underneath a shirt that has the hole in it. Shoot the action locked off, then pull the talent out and shoot a clean plate.
Then you can key out the hole and replace it with the clean plate so you can see background through the hole.
That’s one way. Test first. Anybody else?
