  • Your’re almost there… I think this is what you want to do.

Make titles that say camA (drop), camB (drop), etc. Then create mixdowns and use those “clips” as place holders for the cameras that drop out. Every time a camera drops out, the position in the quad/nine split is unchanged. Not only that, it is pretty clear to the editor what is going on.

Hope that helps and thanks Nate (AE) for the idea.

AMA link all the original files into a bin. Commit your sequence to eliminate unnecessary grouped media, then relink your sequence to those original files using the appropriate relink options, finally transcode the sequence to 175x. If you wish to see all the clips that relinked in your sequence before transcoding, turn off the video using the timeline monitor so that Avid doesn’t freeze trying to read the entire sequence in AMA. The result is a sequence of 175x transcoded media with your chosen length of handles. This is exceptionally faster than a batch import or alike. Good luck.

  • Hi Amelia,

Can you explain your “Quick Transition” bin fix in a little more detail. I am interested in what is going on here. Thanks!

    Hello,

I have the same “ENTER NETWORK PASSWORD” problem listed above on several systems connected to a Unity Media Network. All HPz400’s, Windows 7… any thoughts?

    Thanks
