I am experiencing same exact issue.. My ProRes Video looks one way in FCPX and Quicktime, but different in Youtube, Vimeo, Mpeg StreamClip etc..

hi guys.. sorry I should have added: I know i can duplicate the video layer and apply effects to that duplicated portion, then crop and feather that.. HOWEVER.. I need to hand off this lower third as a simple “drop on top of the project” kind of thing to the editor, with no instructions for duplicating, etc..

I think its not possible. If I’m missing something let me know. I really appreciate you taking time to try to help.

having the same issues while working with Element 3D and motion blur.. so annoying it freezes up the whole project.. any ideas? I have a 32 Gb Mac Pro with good video card..

wow, I was going crazy with this same problem and stumbled upon this thread, I just changed to “orient to final”, about to export my project… fingers crossed. Thanks for the help!

I have the exact same problem, I am editing a 2 inute long 1280 x 720p HD project in 29.97 fps.
when I export using compressor settings, I get a “Quicktime Error: -50” message. I’ve done this exact project with just a few changes just last week. It’s an announcement video for my church, so this week I came in and changed up some stuff. and now its not working using the exact same settings as last week. There is like no info on troubleshooting this anywhere, please help me! =) Thanks
