I do have both platforms. However I would prefer to deal with FCP. So under audio/ video settings I tried to select the following

Sequence Preset: HDV-720p60
Capture Preset HDV
Device Control Preset ( HDV Firewire??? mot sure if this is the right one, please advice )

Video playback – Digital Cinema Desktop
Audio Playback -Default

Easy Setup:

Format – HD (it show 59.94fps)
Use-720p 60

This is what I have selected and no positive results. please help me, thanks.

JVC GY 110u. I also have IMAC with build in firewire output, however my final cut doesn’t see 60fps only 24/30. Any ideas???
