Yes, this happened again to me today. Although it was after an update on my AMD machine. I hope Magix fixes this annoying issue.

This still happens. It happened to me on DVDa as well as Sony Vegas. This has been a glitchy behavior since I started using Vegas years ago. Shame Sony doesn’t spend the time to fix these nagging issues.

I to run into this off and on, it’s a very odd thing. As mentioned, it may be a windows quirk, but it will drive you nuts when you’re trying to edit.

Restarting Vegas often fixes it.

My brain was fried, yes, I’m talking about my Canon XF 300s. The native mxf files from the camera.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Very helpful. Time to spend some money on a machine.

Hey John,

That is an mxf clip strait from the camera. Which is what I’m having a problem with rendering. Playback is pretty decent, but when I go to render an HD file such as an mp4, that’s where things slow down.

Well that confirms it, seems the system is aged too much. And thanks everyone for the heads up on the build, I haven’t ordered it yet, so I’ll up the specs on the ps and cooling. I’ve never build a water cooled machine, so that’ll be a bit of curve.

Here is a link to an mxf file. I rendered it Internet 1080p with Sony Vegas 13, and it took more than a minute to render 19 secs. I added some screen shots. I think you are right John, my machine might just not be up the snuff.

I did put this together on Newegg, I’d love to get a macpro this year, but not with my projected budget. All for 1200.00 which leaves me 3 for Vegas 13.
